Trimmer Associates was established in 2009 out of Lender’s need to have a qualified 3rd party inspect projects that have construction loans.
Jill Trimmer was a project manager in commercial general contracting and Scott Trimmer is an architect. With both of these qualifications, they were the perfect team to start this type of company.
Although an uncertain time for Jill to leave her job with an established general contractor, 2009 proved to be the best time to start Trimmer Associates, as Lenders continued to lend for the Small Business Administration throughout a recession economy in order to keep small business running and flourishing.
Jill and Scott ran the company and performed all site inspections while things were slow during the first few years, but as the economy started to improve and Trimmer Associates became an established name in the Construction Risk Management community, the Trimmer Associates team started to grow into what it is today.
Although Jill and Scott still own the company, Jill focuses on running Trimmer Associates while Scott now focuses his time on running their architecture firm, STā Architecture.
